Call for Ideas

We are excited about how many innovative and compelling Ideas were received and would like to provide you with an important event update. Plans for iFEST 2020 continue to move forward. Due to the COVID-19 situation, however, there is a possibility that the conference may go virtual. Based on local health and social distancing mandates, NTSA will make a final decision on the way ahead. Once a plan is confirmed speakers will be notified.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to share ideas to:

  • Explore
  • Engage
  • Experience

Potential speakers may submit ideas via the NTSA submission site. Presenters will be selected based upon the quality and fit of their abstract. Full papers will not be required. 

Submit ideas for compelling presentations or posters on distributed learning innovation topics:

  • Learning Science for the Future
  • Specifications and Standards: Development, Gaps, and Governance
  • Learner Profiles in Practice
  • Innovations in Course Catalogs and Activity Registries
  • xAPI Profiles for DoD
  • Competency and Credentialing Management
  • Cybersecurity and PII
  • Other – Submit your own topic

Submission Guidelines:

Call for Ideas opens January 1
The deadline for submitting Ideas has been extended to April 17
Notification of Ideas acceptance is May 15
