Bio
Sophia leads many initiatives to strategically apply virtual and augmented reality to various industries. She has developed synergistic partnerships between immersive technologists, industry, and government for the purpose of translating technological vision into high-value solutions. These solutions are then successfully brought to market with her ability to simplify and articulate complex technologies into relatable, human-centric applications, accompanied by her extensive network and media presence. She is sought after for her ability to gather global communities to propagate the adoption of VR and AR technology through her leadership at the global VR/AR Association to include leading the Washington DC chapter & various committees, and co-hosting the Association’s podcast, “Everything VR & AR”. As a member of the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) Human Performance Analysis & Engineering committee, Sophia leverages her extensive knowledge to further the education of the appropriate use of immersive technologies for enhanced human performance. Her recent accomplishment of producing the world’s first virtual reality charity golf tournament, Ready Player Golf, is a testament to her dedication to the propagation of immersive technologies to create strategic value across industry.
